Once you have found examples of each of the different language features create a poster/toolkit of them all for you to refer back to later on. Music
You've got a friend - Carole King
Think about these questions while you listen to the music:
How does this song make you feel?
Does the song tell a story?
What does the sing make you think of?
How old is this piece of music?
Can you find the pulse and clap along to the rhythm.
Once you find the pulse, try and add a movement to go with it rather than clapping.
Can you tap your feet to the pulse? Shrug your shoulders? Bend your knees?
Once you've found a movement to go along with the beat, have a go at singing along.
